Introduction:

The Kids’ Club is a place for your children to go play and be cared for during the reception. All parents are encouraged to use this amenity, we want you to enjoy the night! The childcare attendants are highly qualified and vetted Texas Tech University students. Our heart and vision for the childcare suite is fun, love, safety, and professionalism. The Kids’ Club is located right next to the reception in a closed off suite.

Hours:

The Kids’ Club will be open between 6:00 pm and 10:00 pm for children aged 0-12. You may drop off your children and pick them up as you please or your children may stay the whole time.

Notable events:

Dinner will be served in The Kids’ Club at 7:15 pm. Refreshments will be provided throughout the whole night and small snacks will be offered every hour to the children. At 8:30 pm a movie will be played and children are encouraged to fall asleep or wind down at this time.

Throughout the night with the exception of meal and movie time, the kids will be able to freely play. There will be games, activities, coloring, crafts, toys and music available for the children to be entertained by.

Schedule:

6:00 pm - Drop off opens

6:15 pm - Snacks offered

7:15 pm - Dinner is served

8:15 pm - Snacks offered

8:30 pm - Wind down and movie begins

9:15 pm - Snacks offered

9:45 pm - Pick up begins

10:00 pm - Children must be picked up by this time

Safety and Health Protocols:

-Parents will be required to be present at every drop off and pick up

-Pick up must be done by a parent or a pre-requested adult appointed by the parents. Childcare attendants must be notified of the alternate pick up’s name at drop off by a parent if someone else will pick up your child.

-During diaper changes the childcare attendants will be required to wear gloves

-Older children will be escorted to the bathroom by childcare attendants

-No kids will be left alone with one child care attendant, there will be at least two present with kids at all times (e.g. escorting kids to bathroom breaks and at least two caregivers minimum will be in the suite at all times).

-Nobody will be allowed to hold or change infants/toddlers unless they are a hired childcare attendant

You will be contacted if:

-Your child is upset for more than ten minutes

-Your child needs to use the bathroom or have a diaper change and you have requested for the childcare attendants to not assist.

-Your child is requesting to leave the suite

-Any reason the childcare attendants deem necessary (e.g. your child gets a boo boo or is feeling ill)

Both parents will be contacted through text once. If there is no physical or text response in five minutes, another text will be sent. After ten minutes pass, you will be called. If still no response occurs, someone will come deliver the message in person.

What to bring:

-A diaper bag for infants and toddlers

-Sippy cups or bottles if you child does not drink out of a cup

-A pillow and/or nap mat for your children to sleep on

Fine print “policies”:

-All children regardless of age will be escorted (if given permission by the parents) to the bathroom once they are checked into the Kids’ Club. We do not want them getting lost in The Texas Tech Club and we want all the children checked into our care accounted for every moment.

-Your child will be escorted to the bathroom by the childcare attendants even if we do not have permission to take them if we are unable to reach you. We do not want the children to experience an accident.

-Regardless of age, your child must be dropped off and checked out by a parent or parent representative. Again, all children given in our care must be accounted for at all times.
